What is P.O.P ?

Pain On Paper is a therapeutic violence prevention program that teaches alternative methods of expression. 

Rap, art, poetry, song written and short stories are R.A.P.S. The POP creative outlets of expression offers participants a variety of new ways of expressing feelings and emotions. Since 2009 in Atlanta Ga the POP program has expanded to cities like Ashville NC, Newport News Va to Charlotte NC. 

Over 790 participants have completed the program.

The program has had the likes of Jeezy, Benzino, Dj Scream and Angie Stone come talk to the youth. Pain On Paper program serve youth with Passion and love to help them to properly communicate without using violence.

POP STANCE

A non-threatening stance that starts the self-discipline process to absorb and redirect negative energy. Both hands are placed together right below the chest is the first step of the POP process. The pointer finger of your right hand is placed between the pointer finger and thumb of your left hand. There pressure points in your hand between the pointer finger and thumb in the web area of your hand. These pressure points are called Hegu pressure points. Hegu Pressure Points can relieve stress, as well as clear the mind so you can relax.

  • Certified Life/ Wellness Coach

    Raychelle began her marketing career in 1995, as co-founder of DETRICS ENTERTAINMENT. Generating a buzz for her marvelously successfully events, LeBlanc was asked to head the management and publicity departments for CLOCKWORK MANAGEMENT. There she oversaw the needs of her client “Black Ceaser” of TOMMY BOY RECORDS.

    After battling with severe panic attacks, anxiety and depression in the 90s, Raychelle realized that daily celebrations were instrumental in overcoming those fears. Her decade long process was the inspiration for the name of her first coaching program, Cake Everyday Coaching Circle.

  • • In 1998, after acquiring a steady roster of clients and references, Raychelle relocated to New York City to start SHENOTES ENTERTAINMENT; an independent marketing, publicity and promotions company that specializes in national publicity and marketing campaigns and events.

    • Raychelle went on to coordinate many successful campaigns for TVT/BLUNT RECORDINGS with musical artists including Bounty Killa and Speech from Arrested Development. Her strength lies in her ability to partner with corporations to produce hugely recognized and well- attended promotional events.

    • In 2009 Ms. LeBlanc contributed to an anthology titled “How the Fierce Handle Fear”, where she shares her story about her relationship with fear. This discovery led to book number two, a journal, titled “Your Daily Slice Journal”.

    • Journaling was very instrumental in her recovery. The book is an invitation to those that want to engage in gratitude journaling and are looking for a safe place to share inner thoughts.

  • As a certified Life/ Wellness Coach and Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, her goal is to meet people where they are. She partners with them for breakthroughs and to manifest the lives they desire. As a Master Meditation Teacher, her goal is to provide a platform for people to be still, and reconnect. As a Reiki Master, she provides the ultimate experience in relaxation, clearing and healing, the alignment of mind, body & spirit.

    Pezo Johnson has over 20 years of experience counseling youth in juvenile detention centers, group homes, drug and alcohol facilities, teen homeless shelters and public schools. Pezo and many others have witness a spike in violent behavior amongst teens across the country.

    Concerned by the increase of teen violence he designed a thorough concept of self expression that includes rap, art, poetry, songs and short stories (R.A.P.S). In 2009 he created Poems Over Pistols in Atlanta Georgia and he eventually started the non profit Pain On Paper. Pezo also has an extensive background in the music industry as a radio personality and music director for over 20 years. He understand the power and affect that music has on youth so he combined anger management, social emotion learning, music therapy, conflict resolution along with music as the ingredients that make up Pain On Paper.

    Pezo created a documentary series called “Make it Rain in the hood”. This popular web series provides a philanthropic platform for artist, athletes and entertainers to give back to the homeless and less fortunate. Make it Rain in the Hood is committed to helping meet the needs of impoverished communities through giving back and inspiring the under privileged.

    The Mixtape Movie

    Pezo created, wrote and directed the award winning “The Mixtape Movie”in 2006. Mixtape movies is storytelling through music, acting, poetry and culture all blended together in a creative audio narrative. The project featured stars acting like DMX, Valetta Wallace (Notorious B.I.G’s mother), rapper Rick Ross, Mary J Blige, Kevin Hart, Elephant Man, Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, Jeezy and countless other celebrities.

  • Dr. Joyce engages in motivational/keynote speaking, training, executive, relationship/life coaching, workshop/seminar presentations & mediation at the local, state, national & global levels. She also serves as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice & she provides consulting for businesses, organizations, corporations, educational institutions & families, including The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL).

  • Megan Buhmann is a Board Certified Music Therapist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Christopher Newport University. She has spent the last several years studying, performing, and teaching music, as well as providing clinical music therapy to children and adults with a wide variety of needs, strengths, and goal areas.

  • Shawn L. Garrison, Ph.D. is Director of Counseling Services at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), serving the students of five academic programs and Residents from seven specialties through counseling and teaching for the past 30 years.

  • Dr. Garrison holds a faculty appointment in MSM’s Department of Psychiatry, serves on pivotal institutional committees and plays a central role in study skills, time management, stress management and Learning Communities for all academic programs. Her teaching duties include Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Psychotherapy 101 in the Psychiatry Residency program at Morehouse School of Medicine. Additionally, she provides clinical supervision to psychiatry residents learning the art of psychotherapy.

  • Dr. Garrison earned her B.A. in psychology from Spelman College, her M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from the University of Georgia. Her internship training was received at the Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She has served on the board of a nonprofit addressing housing and those diagnoses with AIDS, worked briefly in part time private practice and trained as a consulting neuropsychologist. She maintains a license in the state of Georgia as a clinical psychologist since 1986.

  • Darrin Still is a driven audio engineer with 15 years of audio production, post-production and sound design. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he founded The MasterSound with the firm belief that sonic clarity and precision can bring a song to life and highlight the power of a scene in a film.

  • Darrin has worked on a wide range of projects, from short and feature films to corporate and industrial pieces, and has mastered more than 300 songs for a wide range of music genres. He loves doing both audio mastering and post-production sound, and finds that keeping active on both sides has given him a unique skill set that delivers a meaningful impact on creative work with artists, musicians and filmmakers from all walks of life.
